May God keep you both safe. 🙏

A senior dog, a long journey, and a human who refused to give up on him. ❤️🐾
Alisa’s story is a beautiful reminder that love is often measured by the lengths we’re willing to go for those who depend on us.
When [w.a.r] forced millions of people to flee their homes in Ukraine, one woman made a decision that touched hearts around the world: she refused to leave her dog behind. ❤️🐾
Alisa Teptiuk was escaping Kyiv with her family as the conflict intensified. Like countless others, she faced an uncertain journey to safety. But there was one family member she was determined to protect at all costs: her elderly dog.
As roads became crowded and transportation options grew limited, Alisa found herself carrying her aging companion on her shoulder for 17 kilometers, nearly 11 miles. The journey was exhausting, but abandoning him was never an option.
Later, Alisa shared that she simply could not imagine leaving her beloved dog behind. While many people would have understood the difficult circumstances, she chose loyalty instead. Step after step, she carried the dog she loved toward safety.
A photograph of Alisa carrying her senior pup quickly spread around the world, becoming one of the most powerful images to emerge from the humanitarian [cr.is.is]. In the middle of [fe.ar], uncertainty, and displacement, it served as a reminder that love and compassion can endure even in the [da.rke.st] moments.
Dog lovers understand that our pets are never “just animals.” They are family. They share our homes, our routines, and our hearts. For Alisa, that bond was strong enough to carry her through nearly 11 miles of hardship.
Her story continues to inspire people because it shows what devotion truly looks like. When everything else was being left behind, she made sure her best friend came with her. 🐕❤️
God Bless this lady🙏🙏🙏and all the people who did not leave their pets behind while trying to escape.
