When [fi.refighters] arrived, all residents had made it out safely, but several cats were still inside as smoke [filled] the home. Crews first worked to control the flames, then carefully moved through the structure, searching room by room for the animals.
One by one, they found them.
In total, 14 cats were rescued and brought out alive. Each was given immediate care after being exposed to heavy smoke, a reminder of how quickly conditions can turn [life-th.re.ate.ning].
But not every story had the same ending. One cat was found [un.res.pons.ive] and could not be revived, and two others were still [mi.ssi.ng].
The [fi.re] was mostly contained to one area, though smoke [da.ma.ge] [spread] throughout the home. Officials are now looking into an e-bike and its charging components as a [po.ssi.ble] cause.
Even after the fire was under control, the mission didn’t stop—because for those inside, every life mattered. 🐾💔
