He Went Into a Bu.rni.ng Shelter Without Hesitation to Save 16 Animals!

Bravery is being s.c.a.red shitless and still doing it.

He proved that he has more courage than most and had nothing to gain!
We all could learn from him!

When Keith Walker noticed smoke coming from beneath the entrance of Atlanta’s W-Underdogs animal shelter, his first thought wasn’t about protecting himself. He opened the door, made his way through the heavy smoke and began getting the [tr.app.ed] animals outside.

Ten cats and six dogs were still inside their cages while the [fi.re] continued to spread. Firefighters at the scene were cautious about approaching the [te.rrif.ied] dogs and requested help from animal control. Keith, however, had already gone in and continued bringing the animals out until every one of them was safe.

Keith later admitted that he was [s.c.ar.ed] throughout the rescue. He said he had been extremely nervous but believed God had placed him there at that moment for a reason — to help those animals.

Keith had experienced homelessness since he was 13 years old. The shelter had also been helping him by allowing his beloved pit bull, Bravo, to stay there overnight. In fact, Keith had come to the shelter that day to pick up Bravo for a walk when he noticed the [fi.re].

His relationship with Bravo helped explain why he couldn’t simply stand by and watch. Keith considered his dog his closest companion and felt that Bravo had helped him through some of the hardest parts of his life. Knowing how much his own dog meant to him, he felt he had to do everything he could for the other animals trapped inside.

The shelter’s founder later described Keith as her guardian angel.
Sometimes courage doesn’t come from someone who feels no [fe.ar]. Sometimes it comes from someone who’s [te.rri.fi.ed] but cares enough to go in anyway.

Unconditional love goes both ways. What he did was amazing. True courage is being afraid but doing the deed, anyway.

Animals can have such an amazing effect one individuals. They teach life lessons that some people don’t have the opportunity to learn from others. Animals are truly a special gift from God.

Prayers for him and his best friend. 🙏🙏🙏
