Great job by the police and the dog! 👏🙏🏻♥️
Praise God for those who ri.sk.ed their lives to save hers ♥️
A [te.r.rif.yi.ng] ordeal turned into a miraculous rescue when a 9-year-old girl was found clinging to life after being [s.we.pt] 20 miles (32 km) downriver during a [fl.ash fl.ood] at a summer camp near the Brazos River. The dramatic moment of her rescue, captured on camera, has since gone viral — and it all hinged on the instincts of a heroic K9.
The [ni.ghtm.are] began when sudden, torrential rains struck the campgrounds on Sunday afternoon, turning peaceful streams into [da.nge.rous], fast-moving currents. In the [ch.aos], campers were quickly evacuated — but one child, later identified as Alyssa Monroe, was suddenly pulled into the [cu.rre.nt].
Camp counselor Jenna Miles siad: She [va.ni.sh.ed ]in seconds. We couldn’t catch her — the water was too strong.
A multi-agency search and rescue operation was launched immediately, involving local police, firefighters, and K9 units. For over 24 hours, they combed the [ri.verba.nks], [fe.ari.ng] the [wo.rst].
Then, during the early hours of Monday morning, Officer Daniel Cruz and his K9 partner, Ranger, picked up a faint scent nearly 20 miles downstream. Moments later, Ranger barked sharply and bolted into the underbrush.
What he found was both [he.artbre.aking] and astonishing: Alyssa, barely [co.nscio.us], covered in mud and [in.sect bi.tes], was wrapped around the base of a fallen tree, her fingers [bl.eed.ing] from clinging so long.
The exact moment the rescue team pulls Alyssa from the water’s edge. Her first words were barely audible: “Is my mom coming?”
She was immediately airlifted to a children’s hospital in Houston, where doctors confirmed she suffered from hypothermia and [de.hydr.ation] — but is expected to make a full recovery.
Alyssa’s parents have credited the K9 and his handler with saving their daughter’s life. Her father Marcus Monroe SAID: There are no words, . They didn’t just save her. They saved us.
The department plans to award Ranger with a medal of valor — and Alyssa has already asked if she can see him again soon.
Dogs are gods angels we should treat them with respect and kindness.
Thank you for all them wonderful canines!!!
Amazing job by the K9 Dog and Texas police! This little girl will never forget it as long as she lives. As she gets older, she will love those canine dogs more and more. She might even become a policeman and have a canine dog of her own. Jesus loves this little girl.🙏
This incredible story reminds us all that heroes come in all shapes and sizes — some with badges, and some with wagging tails. 🐶💙
God bless her and the people who rescued her 🙏🙏🙏
