Garbage Man Finds a Puppy Th.ro.wn Out With the Trash — and Gives Her a Forever Home!

What a good guy thank god you got him.

So very happy she was saved, received the costly vet care, and then adopted by this wonderful man!

The men and women who collect our neighborhood waste often work in the quiet hours before dawn, moving through streets long before most of us wake up. In those early morning hours, they witness things the rest of the world never sees—moments that can be touching, surprising, or, at times, [he.artbre.aking]. That was exactly what a Rumpke Waste & Recycling driver experienced one morning outside Cincinnati in Colerain Township.

As driver Aaron Kinsel made his usual rounds, something unusual caught his attention: a [di.sca.rd.ed] backpack lying beside the road. He could easily have passed it by, but something urged him to stop and take a closer look. What he discovered inside was [sh.0.ck.ing]—a tiny 10-week-old puppy [st.uff.ed] into the bag.

Kinsel later said he felt he was “meant to find her.” The waste management company confirmed the [he.artbre.aking] details: the little female boxer mix had a [br.ok.en] leg and was severely [de.hyd.ra.ted].

Aaron immediately took action. The puppy was rushed to a local veterinarian, where doctors determined she would need either an expensive surgery or an [am.put.ati.on] to save her life. Rumpke announced that they would cover the [cost] of her medical care to ensure she had the best chance at recovery. Aaron gave the puppy a hopeful new name: Tipper.

According to a statement from local news station WLWT, “Rumpke team members are currently getting the puppy much-needed care at a local veterinarian.”

In the company’s press release, a safety manager explained that Rumpke drivers are trained to stay alert—not just for their own safety, but for the well-being of the communities they serve. She added that the company was incredibly proud of Aaron for going above and beyond, and for making Tipper an honorary part of the Rumpke family.

Aaron also shared that he will be bringing Tipper home permanently. Following veterinary advice, he and his family decided that amputating her injured leg would prevent long-term complications and give her the best possible future.

A later update from Rumpke confirmed that Tipper underwent her [a.mp.utat.ion] surgery and came through it successfully. “The surgery went well, and she is currently recovering at the veterinarian’s office.

Aaron is eagerly waiting for the moment he can finally take her home—where a life filled with love, comfort, and safety now awaits her.

Thank you to the waste truck driver that saved this sweet puppy. Also thank you to his employer for covering vet bills for Tipper. It is his kindness that shows how a person can be a positive role model for others. He is a good man.💛💙❤️

God bless your kind and loving heart!🙏
