It was 11:48 pm. The store was going to close. The owner had already turned off half the lights and was tidying away the cash register, while an old radio was playing music in the background.
Everything just seemed normal.
Until, outside the glass door, a stray dog appears.
Medium-sized, with brown fur and looking tired, he was sitting right in front of the entrance, looking fixed, not barking, still… he was just watching.
The owner saw him on the camera footage, but thought he would leave on his own, as stray animals often do.

Five minutes later, the dog was still there. Immobile.
A detail of his behavior caught the attention of the owner. There was something different. He didn’t seem to be looking for food… seemed to be waiting for something.

He was lying down, motionless.
