Give that Moose an Award 👍

All praise be to the Moose! Out there doing the Lord’s work.

GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK – Traffic returned to normal near Grand Teton National Park Tuesday after a bull moose reportedly cleared a group of bicyclists that had been holding up vehicles for several miles.

Witnesses said approximately a dozen cyclists were traveling together and occupying much of the roadway while a growing line of cars and RVs followed behind them. The situation resolved itself when a bull moose emerged from roadside vegetation and attempted to cross the highway directly through the group.

Several bicycles were knocked over as cyclists scattered in different directions, temporarily leaving the roadway covered with bicycles, water bottles and what one witness described as “an impressive amount of Lycra.” “The moose didn’t slow down much,” motorist Gary Peterson said. “Neither did traffic afterward.”

No serious [in.jur.ies] were [re.po.rted], and the moose continued across the road before [di.sappe.aring] into nearby vegetation.
Within minutes, witnesses said vehicles that had been traveling behind the cyclists were once again moving at the posted speed limit.

Wildlife officials reminded motorists and cyclists that moose should be given plenty of space and should never be approached. They offered no comment on the improved traffic flow.

Not all heroes wear capes. Sometimes it’s antlers🤷🏼‍♂️
