For nearly 50 years, he was so.ld from owner to owner many times!

Particularly tourists who claim to be animal lovers.

When you visit Africa, you see hundreds of elephants free in herds with babies of different age frolicking in dirt or water holes, you are convinced that freedom is just as important to all animals.

For nearly 50 years, Raju the elephant endured a life of hardship, walking scorching roads while [re.strai.ned] by heavy, spiked [ch.ai.ns]. Reportedly [so.ld] from owner to owner many times, he was forced to beg for [money] and eventually became severely underweight, with [s.ca.rs], open [w.ou.nds] and [pa.inful in.jur.ies] covering his body.

Everything changed when a team from Wildlife SOS stepped in to rescue him. The operation was far from easy, with rescuers facing resistance and obstacles as they worked for hours to free Raju. Eventually, they succeeded in getting him onto a truck and [taking] him away from the life he had known for decades.

When his chains were removed, rescuers reported seeing tears on his face. While it’s impossible to know exactly what Raju was experiencing emotionally, one thing was certain — he was finally free.
Recovery took time.

Along with healing from years of physical [in.jur.ies], Raju had to adjust to a completely different life and gradually become comfortable around the people caring for him. With patience and specialized care, he settled into his new surroundings and formed bonds with other elephants at the sanctuary.

More than a decade later, Raju continues to live under the care of Wildlife SOS, enjoying nutritious food, veterinary attention, refreshing baths and the freedom to move without [ch.ai.ns]. The elephant who spent so many years [suffering] now gets to experience something that was [denied] to him for most of his life: freedom.

The remedy to all situations like this are reaching the people that did this to the animals and leave them in the same experience for a while. understanding will be immediate in almost every case but leave them there a little longer than that so they never forget how [in.hum.ane] they acted and let them remember they are accountable for what they do 💕

😌🙏 Blessings to this amazing Elephant!🐘 May she enjoy her new life to the fullest!🤩❤️🧜🏼‍♀️
