She spent her life searching for the [lo.st]… until it was time to say goodbye 💔
You are never ready for this to happen. The connection a handler has with their dog goes beyond training. It’s blind trust and loyalty between a dog and their human.
She did so much good during her life. Thanks to all rescue dogs & human rescuers.🥲♥️
Her nose helped find the [mi.ss.ing]. Her presence brought comfort in [ch.aos].
Roxy and her handler Chuck, part of the Civilian [Cr.is.is] Response Team in Indiana, had just wrapped up a mission in the Texas Hill Country, where they searched [de.bri.s fi.elds] and supported recovery efforts following [de.vas.tat.ing fl.oo.ds].
When they got back home, Roxy underwent a pre-planned surgery, but the morning after, she began [se.izi.ng] and [pa.ss.ed aw.ay] shortly after.
Her team believes she may have suffered a [st.ro.ke] caused by a [b.lo.o.d] clot. They’ve ruled [out] heat or [to.xi.c] [ex.po.sure] from the deployment, but are sharing her story in case it helps other handlers.
Roxy wasn’t just a hero in the [fi.el.d]. She was a teammate, a loyal companion, and a bright light for everyone around her. Always up for tug-of-w.a.r, always ready to work, always bringing hope.
Her [lo.ss] is deeply felt across the search and rescue community, and most of all by Chuck, who shared an [un.bre.aka.ble] bond with her.
Roxy was a beautiful dog and helped rescue many people in her life may she be playing over the rainbow bridge.
A brave hero…your work is done, Roxy. Her legacy will never be forgotten 🌈 💔
Rest in peace Roxy 🌈 thank you for all you service. May God comfort you Chuck. Praying 🙏🏻 for you all. ❤️🙏💜
Please keep him and everyone who loved Roxy close to your heart.❤️
Sending love to your family❤️🩹🙏🏻
